African DNA. International Standards.
An independent advisory firm working exclusively in mining and metals — pairing deep operational understanding of African jurisdictions with internationally recognised reporting discipline.
Independent & conflict-free
Mining & metals only
Mandates across 10 jurisdictions
NI 43-101 QP-led
Advisory built for substance and credibility
Independent & conflict-free
We do not operate mines or trade commodities. Every mandate is served with objective, unconflicted advice.
Technical and financial, integrated
We work at the intersection of geology, engineering, finance and regulation — so assets are evaluated and presented as a whole.
African operating depth
On-the-ground understanding across multiple African mining jurisdictions, from exploration to producing operations.
International reporting discipline
Work structured to withstand investor, lender and regulatory scrutiny under internationally recognised standards.
Bridging technical substance and capital-markets credibility
AB Mining Consultants (ABM) was founded in 2018 to close a critical gap in the African mining advisory landscape — the distance between technical substance and capital-markets credibility.
Large global consultancies bring scale and engineering depth; investment banks bring financial structuring. Few advisory firms integrate both technical rigour and transaction awareness within an African operating context. ABM was built to deliver that integration — supporting mandates across resource evaluation, technical due diligence, asset valuation, exploration strategy, M&A advisory support and government mineral-asset promotion.
A disciplined path from ground truth to investment-ready
Understand
We establish the operational and geological ground truth of the asset and its jurisdiction.
Evaluate
We apply integrated technical and financial analysis to test value, risk and assumptions.
Structure
We shape strategy, studies and transactions so they stand up to institutional scrutiny.
Present
We package findings to international reporting standards for boards, investors and lenders.

Objective by design
Our mandate is to provide advice that is technically rigorous, commercially grounded and free of conflict. That independence is structural, not incidental.
- We do not operate mines.
- We do not trade commodities.
- We hold no positions in the assets we assess.
- We report to international standards, whatever the finding.
