African DNA. International Standards.
AB Mining Consultants (ABM) was founded in 2018 to bridge a critical gap in the African mining advisory landscape — the gap between technical substance and capital markets credibility.
We are an independent advisory firm focused exclusively on the mining and metals sector, serving listed mining companies, private operators, institutional investors, and government entities across Africa.
ABM operates at the intersection of geology, engineering, finance, and regulation — ensuring that mineral assets are evaluated, structured, and presented to international standards.
Our Story
ABM was established with a clear conviction: Africa’s mineral potential deserves advisory that combines deep local operational understanding with internationally recognized reporting discipline.
While large global consultancies bring scale and engineering depth, and investment banks bring financial structuring expertise, few advisory firms integrate both technical rigor and transaction awareness within an African operating context.
ABM was built to deliver that integration.
Since inception, the firm has supported mandates across resource evaluation, technical due diligence, asset valuation, exploration strategy, M&A advisory support, and government mineral asset promotion.
Our Approach
- Independent and conflict-free advisory
- Integrated technical and financial perspective
- Strong operational understanding across African mining jurisdictions
- Experience supporting cross-border transactions and investment processes
We do not operate mines. We do not trade commodities. Our mandate is to provide objective, technically rigorous, and commercially grounded advice.
Leadership
Yassine Belkabir — Managing Director
ABM is led by Yassine Belkabir, UK Chartered Engineer (IOM3) and NI 43-101 Qualified Person.
Yassine combines technical mining expertise with capital markets and transaction experience across gold, base metals, and polymetallic assets. His background spans resource modeling, technical audits, asset valuation, institutional advisory, and M&A execution support across multiple African jurisdictions.
Under his leadership, ABM has developed a reputation for analytical discipline, independence, and strategic clarity.
Vision
Africa hosts some of the world’s most significant mineral endowment. Unlocking that value requires more than geology — it requires governance, transparency, and alignment with international standards.
ABM exists to contribute to a technically robust and institutionally credible mining sector across the continent.
